Philips launches wearable alert devices with predictive analytics engine CareSage

Royal Philips has launched CareSage, a new predictive analytics engine allowing health systems to better monitor the elderly patients by combining actionable insights with wearable devices and monitoring. The predictive analytics engine collects and analyzes real-time and historical data to help healthcare professionals easily identify the patients in need of intervention. The analytical system works in synchronization with data from Philips LifeLine AutoAlert technology. The devices tracked via CareSage may not be limited to the proprietary Philips products but the CareSage system is an open, cloud-based HealthSuite digital system. The system will probably provide better preventive care, increased patient satisfaction, better quality of life, reduced hospital readmissions, improved health results and cost reductions.
