Latin America: a popular destination for aesthetic procedures

According to a report published by Tourism-review.com, Latin America has become a hot spot for aesthetic procedures. American patients can save around 20-80% of the total cost of aesthetic procedures, if performed in Latin America. Brazil occupies the top position according to a recent survey conducted by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Breast augmentation and reduction, tummy tucks, rhinoplasty, and buttock implants are the most popular procedures provided by the country. Colombia has witnessed a big hike in the number of plastic surgeries on foreigners. Bogota and Cartagena are the most popular cities of Colombia for these types of surgeries followed by Medellin. Mexico is also among the top five destinations, where Cancun and Puerto Vallarta are popular for tummy tuck or buttock implants. Argentina welcomes around 14,000 foreign patients annually for procedures such as breast implants, liposuction and lipoabdominoplasty. Dominican Republic also attracts around 20,000 foreign patients annually for dental surgeries, particularly dental implants.
