The US-based Carlyle Group is planning to purchase additional stake in Rede D’Or São Luiz SA hospital chain, but from BTG Pactual Group this time. The group is mulling to buy a stake of 1% or 2%, which will reduce the share of BTG Pactual in the hospital chain to 12%. Carlyle acquired 8.3% share in Rede D’Or São Luiz SA in April, 2015 with a payment of around BRL 1.75 billion while sovereign wealth fund GIC Singapore Pte bought 15.2% stake in the hospital chain in May by paying around BRL 3.2 billion.
