Miami, FL—May 10, 2017—Global Health Intelligence (GHI), the leading healthcare data analytics provider in Latin America, published its 2017 ranking of the Best-Equipped Hospitals in Latin America. The ranking is based on extensive data analysis from GHI’s hospitals database for Latin America, which is the world’s largest hospitals database for the region. The GHI database covers 86% of the hospitals in Latin America, offering more than 130 data points for each institution in key areas such as beds, medical specialties, capital equipment, procedures and more.
“After years of tracking and updating data in the region, we’re very pleased to share our analysis with both healthcare professionals and the general public,” says Guillaume Corpart, Managing Director of Global Health Intelligence. “One persistent challenge that faces LatAm’s healthcare industry is the lack of detailed information about hospitals and infrastructure. But in building a dedicated team of researchers and working with these institutions, we’ve been able to change that significantly with our database,” Corpart explains.
The report can be downloaded from Global Health Intelligence’s website.
Because market sizes, regulatory frameworks and access differ between countries, GHI created its ranking by identifying the top hospitals in each country. For more specific reports for the best-equipped hospitals in specific countries—including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru and Puerto Rico—journalists should contact GHI directly.
“Our hope is that the healthcare industry in Latin America and Latin Americans themselves will benefit from our report so they understand better the impressive resources they have at their disposal when it comes to hospitals,” says Corpart.
