Mexico’s Newest Hospitals
Despite recent healthcare challenges, Mexico’s hospital market appears to be growing: the projected revenue in the country’s hospital market is expected to reach US$43.97 billion this year, with a CAGR of 3.66% between 2024 and 2029.
Overall, Mexico has nearly 4,000 hospitals, of which 64% are private and 36% are public. In this report, GHI’s team of analysts noticed specific increases in equipment in Mexican hospitals in 2023, including with these medical equipment types:
- Radiology information systems grew by 18%
- Robotic surgery systems grew by 16.1%
- Endoscopy towers grew by 13.3%
This growth may offer opportunities for medical equipment/devices sales teams in Mexico, particularly with new hospitals that have just opened or will open soon.
