In the backdrop of an increasing Brazilian population and its demands for technical reformation in healthcare services, Konica Minolta has acquired Minas Gerais-based Brazilian X-ray system manufacturer Sawae Technologica through its Brazilian subsidiary Konica Minolta Healthcare do Brazil to deliver high-standard, cost effective X-ray systems and to enhance its sales network across the nation. The company is also planning to enhance the sales of its digital and computed radiography systems as a part of their primary imaging solutions offering to boost their business in Brazil. Imaging diagnostic products in the primary imaging solutions segment of Konica Minolta help clinicians to diagnose diseases early and reduce healthcare costs as well. The deal value was not revealed.
