Hospital industry fair by Abimo and Apex-Brasil had exhibitors from Turkey, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and other nations

The Association of the Industry of Medical, Dental, Hospital and Laboratory Equipment (Abimo) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) jointly conducted a hospital fair and forum in Sao Paulo, Brazil from May 19 – 22. The hospital fair had international participants from Turkey, Germany, Argentina, Austria, Canada, South Korea, United States, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Poland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Taiwan, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Spain, India, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand and Portugal. Abimo and Apex-Brasil jointly developed the project called “Brazilian Health Devices”, which will promote Brazilian based medical devices at the international platform. As per the statement from Waleska Santos, Founder and president of the Hospitalar forum and fair, it is expected that deals worth USD 20 million are expected will be signed through the hospital fair platform. As per Abimo, revenue from exports of Brazilian medical and dental devices generated revenue of USD 779.6 million, posing a year-on-year growth of 5.7% in 2015.
