The Brazilian Ministry of Health will transfer BRL 5.7 million to 186 institutions located in 17 states to strengthen and qualify the services offered to the population by the holy houses and charity organizations. The institutions will benefit from the funds raised from Timemania of competitions held by the Caixa Economica Federal, which allocates 3% of the total collection of games for the Unified Health System (SUS). Alberto Beltrame, secretary of Health Care, commented, “This injection of funds is to ensure the continuity of services provided by these institutions. The Ministry of Health recognizes the important role of philanthropic units for the care of SUS”.
