DePuy Synthes signs deal with Radlink to market RadLink GPS globally
Depuy Synthes of Johnson & Johnson has signed an agreement with RadLink to market the medical imaging device of RadLink with its hip replacement devices worldwide. As per the agreement, Depuy will exclusively market the Radlink Galileo Positioning System (GPS) with its hip replacement systems. Radlink GPS helps physicians with navigation services and displaying real time images in just 4 seconds during the hip replacement procedures. Depuy will also team up with Blue Belt Technologies to market the Navio Surgical System of Blue Belt Technologies with its Sigma Knee Replacement systems. Navio comprises up of a handheld, robot assisted bone shaping tool and a software for more accurate implantation and soft tissue balancing. Depuy is expecting the deal to help improve patient outcomes, increase patient satisfaction and reduce costs.
