Each integral nuclear medicine center is expected to cost more than USD50 million and will work in coordination with the Center for Research and Development of Nuclear Technology to be installed in El Alto. The centers will be installed with the support of the Russian company Rosatom.

This nuclear research center will be contributing radioactive atoms to detect the cancer. Cancer detection can be performed in Bolivia and people will no longer have to travel to other countries for detection and treatment. The South American country plans to invest approximately USD 1 billion for the construction of hospitals for the next two years.
