In fact, the market has experienced some\ngrowth\u2026and 2022 could well offer powerful opportunities for manufacturers who\ntarget this large (2,000+ facilities) hospital market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Published\nin May 2021, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andi.com.co\/Home\/Camara\/8-dispositivos-medicos-e-insumos-para-la-salu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Informe de infraestructura y capacidad instalada<\/em><\/a> \u2014 known as the Infrastructure and Installed\nCapacity Report in English and published by Colombia\u2019s Medical Device and\nConsumable Medical Goods Board \u2014 shows that the country\u2019s hospital infrastructure increased by 3% in\n2020 amidst highly uncertain conditions. This growth has been further supported\nthrough the donations made this past July by the Colombian Red Cross, the U.S.\ngovernment, the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent:\nthis assistance, which included medical equipment, was distributed to 201\nhospitals around the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May\n2021 Global Health Intelligence (GHI) published a report that took the pulse,\nso to speak, of the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalhealthintelligence.com\/pt-br\/ghi-analysis\/medical-market-update-for-colombia-may-2021\/\">medical\nequipment market in Colombia<\/a>. In this report GHI shared findings and\nindustry trends that included significant growth in the sales of medical\ndevices used to treat COVID patients, particularly ventilators (80%) and\npatient monitoring systems (15%).
