Medtronic, the pioneer in medical technology is planning to expand its operational services in Peru over the next four years. The medtech juggernaut is introducing several new medical technologies for the people of the country, including devices to help manage insulin in patients with diabetes. The US Medical Technology Company is already offering medical services in Argentina, Colombia and Chile and it is now looking at foraying into the Peruvian market, via shared risk ventures with the government. The company has already consultedvarious public institutions. The new facilities will facilitate the development of different business lines of the company, allowing closer to the needs of specialists while providing solutions for patients with chronic diseases. Among other solutions that Medtronic will introduce in the domestic market are cutting-edge technologies for minimally invasive surgery, advanced monitoring parameters in critically ill patients, management of incontinence, cardiac, vascular and neurological diseases.
