Brazilian medical equipment importers express interest in purchasing Peruvian products

According to the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry of Peru, the country’s medical equipment exporters are about to penetrate the Brazilian market after importers expressed interest in purchasing Peruvian products worth over USD 3.3 million. The Brazilian importers’ interest is based on the exhibition of medical equipment by four Peruvian medical equipment exporters at Hospitalar 2016, an international fair for equipment, services, and technology designed for hospitals, laboratories, drugstores, and doctors’ offices. The Peruvian entrepreneurs also met with importers from Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Manaus, Bahia, and Goias. The meeting concluded successfully with generation of business interest worth over USD 3.3 million annually. For Peruvian enterprises, this is a great opportunity to enter a market with huge demand for medical equipment, whose annual sales average over USD 5.60 billion, serving over 200 million consumers.
